Continuing a Legacy of Giving

Karen Cramer

The Farrington-Thompson Society recognizes and honors our benefactors whose vision and sense of responsibility to the people of North Texas led them to support the Texas Health Resources Foundation mission. We are humbled and grateful for their support.

The society was founded on the shared vision of Jerry Farrington and J. Andy Thompson, who were pivotal leaders in the merger of Presbyterian, Arlington Memorial and Harris Methodist to form Texas Health Resources in 1997. This vision for the future has driven the mission of Texas Health—to improve the health of people in the communities we serve.

Just as estate gifts help serve the needs of our growing communities, we are grateful for those donors who pass down a legacy of giving to their family members, through a charitable planned gift or via the creation of an endowment. The Cramer family is an example of that type of generosity.

Karen Cramer grew up in a family that made giving a priority. Her parents, Judson and Elizabeth Cramer, were great friends to the Fort Worth medical community, donating time and resources to help serve the needs of so many in the area.

Karen Cramer has continued that legacy. Karen has funded the Cramer Chapel in the new Jane and John Justin Tower at Texas Health Fort Worth. "I'm proud to be able to donate something meaningful," she says. "I hope the chapel will be a gathering place for those who need peace and hope."
